Ergonomics
In recent years there has been a dramatic increase in the occurrence of Cumulative Trauma Disorders (CTD’s), or repetitive motion disorders, and other work-related injuries and illnesses due to ergonomic hazards. As a result, the number of OSHA penalties issued against companies for these types of ergonomics-related safety and health violations has increased. In addition, companies are faced with escalating workers compensation and medical costs.
